Dorking School of Dance had some lively volunteers representing the school at the North Holmwood Village Day recently. All our dancers came to support Miss Evans (Principal) and danced beautifully in front of an enthusiastic crowd.
Miss Evans added: "We always enjoy supporting local events such as this, especially when it gives our pupils a chance to perform. We have offered dance classes in North Holmwood for several years now, and we hope we can continue to serve the village".
The children were a credit to the dance school, and a huge congratulations to them all for dancing at the venue so nicely. A big thankyou also goes to the supportive parents who brought them to the event and supported us along with the rest of the audience. Many thanks indeed!
The Village Day was organised by Jackie Jonston, who has lived in North Holmwood for several years. The event was not only to get people out and enjoy a fun day, but also to bring cohesion into the community, and form vital networks within.
The Dorking School of Dance along with the Reigate School of Ballet and Commercial Dance, have been offering dance classes in North Holmwood for many years now, and were very happy to support the event. These fun days are a vital source of performing for our children also, so it works both ways. By partipating, our pupils build their confidence and begin learning a sense of performance and focus without the pressure of the big shows.
